Arbitrary code execution via broadband input overflow
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
A heap-based buffer overflow in the Windows Mobile Broadband Driver allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code. The driver improperly validates data supplied by a connected mobile broadband device before writing it to heap memory, causing an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires physical access to attach a crafted device and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the affected host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
