Physical code execution via heap overflow
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft's Windows Mobile Broadband Driver allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code. The driver inadequately validates attacker-controlled input, and its subsequent processing writes beyond a heap allocation. Physical access is required; Microsoft has not disclosed the input format or transport needed to reach the faulty path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
