Improper link resolution in the Windows Common Log File System driver allows local users to elevate privileges to SYSTEM. The driver resolves an attacker-controlled filesystem link before accessing the associated log file, redirecting a privileged file operation. Local low-privilege execution is required, and successful exploitation grants SYSTEM control over the affected host.
