Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted lesson upload
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Pisay Online E-Learning System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted lesson file. The lesson-add handler in admin/modules/lesson/controller.php accepts a multipart file bearing a .php filename and image MIME type, then writes it without enforcing an allowed extension or content type. Authentication is not required; a reachable deployment permits the uploaded PHP payload to execute under the web server's privileges.
