Browser script execution via reflected cat parameter
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in osCommerce 4 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted cat parameter. The /catalog/all-products handler returns the cat value in HTML without neutralizing executable markup. No authentication is required, but a victim must follow the crafted link; exploitation modifies content in that victim's browser context.
