Remote code execution via unsanitized MP_Location queries
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
SQL injection in Microsoft Configuration Manager before 5.00.9106 allows remote attackers to execute code through management-point requests. MP_Location passes attacker-controlled SourceID or ContentID values into MP_GetMachineID or MP_GetContentID database queries without sanitization. Network access to the management point is sufficient; injected queries run as a database sysadmin and can invoke operating-system commands.
