DNS spoofing in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 through 2025 allows remote attackers to compromise DNS results via network traffic. Microsoft has not published the affected DNS component or the message-integrity operation that mishandles untrusted traffic. Exploitation requires user interaction and no prior privileges; successful spoofing can redirect name resolution and compromise downstream data or services.
