Database and file compromise via interpolated role filter
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024
SQL injection in Decidim Awesome 0.9.1 through 0.10.2 and 0.11.0 through 0.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter SQL queries. The admin_role_actions method interpolates the admin_role_type request parameter directly into an Arel SQL fragment instead of binding or allowlisting it. Administrator access and the admins=true parameter are required; exploitation grants database access and can read or write server files or execute commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <0.10.3
