Resource exhaustion in Russh Project russh before 0.44.1 allows remote attackers to crash an SSH server via an oversized packet length. In russh/src/cipher/mod.rs, the packet reader decrypts the four-byte length and resizes its buffer to the client-supplied value without enforcing a maximum. The allocation occurs before authentication, and several connections carrying a near-4 GiB declared length can exhaust process memory and interrupt the service.
