Member data access via unverified UUIDs
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Improper access control in Ghost 4.46.0 through 5.89.4 allows remote attackers to read member data and change member preferences. Member newsletter and feedback endpoints accepted a member UUID without verifying a keyed token or authenticated session. Knowledge of a member UUID was sufficient to read newsletter membership, unsubscribe that member, alter comment notifications, or submit feedback.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
