Denial of service via unbounded parser input
Published Aug 19, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Floraison Fugit before 1.11.1 allows remote attackers to hang a dependent service via lengthy input. The natural-language parsing path accepts strings without a length bound, and its poor time complexity leaves parse, parse_nat, and related entry points processing crafted input indefinitely. Exposure requires a dependent application to pass attacker-controlled strings without its own plausibility limit; the blocked parser thread can interrupt that application's service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
