CVE-2024-43376Network attack vector

Authenticated stack-trace disclosure via error responses

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024

Information disclosure in Umbraco CMS 14.0.0 through 14.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to read stack traces through the Management API. The API exception handler placed exception stack traces and types in ProblemDetails responses without honoring the disabled debug setting. A backoffice account and an internal server error, such as one induced by a negative paging value, expose implementation details without altering data or interrupting service.
