Code injection in Cacti before 1.2.28 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute commands via a poisoned log. Installation step 5 accepts a PHP file as the log path, then writes an administrator-controlled device hostname containing PHP code into that web-accessible file. Administrator access is required, and exploitation overwrites the chosen PHP file before commands run with the web application's privileges.
