Unauthenticated notice dismissal via missing capability check
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Hello Agency 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss WordPress administrative notices. The hello_agency_dismissble_notice() function processes unauthenticated requests without a capability check and changes the notice state. No account or user interaction is required, but the demonstrated consequence is limited to hiding administrative notices rather than broader site control.
