Heap corruption via Picture-in-Picture use-after-free
Published May 1, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Picture-in-Picture before 124.0.6367.118 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted HTML. Google has not published the Picture-in-Picture code path that reuses the freed object or the lifetime error that makes it stale. A user must load attacker-controlled HTML; the record establishes heap corruption but does not specify the resulting read, write, or execution primitive.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
