Stored XSS via unescaped width parameter
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Video Lightbox 1.9.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the width parameter. The shortcode width handling in misc_functions.php accepts insufficiently sanitized input and emits it into generated page markup without adequate escaping. Contributor-level WordPress access is required, and the stored script runs in a user's browser whenever the injected page is viewed.
