Browser script execution via form preview handling
Published Aug 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based XSS in weDevs weMail 1.14.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user's browser via a crafted page. Public sources identify the form-preview path but do not disclose which DOM source and sink mishandle attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires a user to open the injected page; resulting script execution is confined to the victim's browser context and privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.14.5 changes=[{"at":"1.14.6","status":"unaffected"}]
