CVE-2024-4323Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service crash and memory disclosure via trace parsing

Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024

Heap-based buffer overflow in Fluent Bit 2.0.7 through 3.0.3 allows remote attackers to crash the service or disclose memory. The embedded HTTP server's trace handler treats non-string inputs as MessagePack strings, using an integer as a length during allocation. The monitoring server must be enabled and reachable; reliable code execution depends on the host architecture and operating system.
