Local privilege escalation in Nagios NDOUtils before 2.1.4 allows local users with nagios access to execute code as root. Installation logic passes ownership options derived from ndo2db_user and ndo2db_group to install, making PATH executables writable by the service account. Exploitation requires control of that account and subsequent privileged execution of a replaced binary; successful use grants root code execution.
