Weak password recovery in IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS 9.7.2.9 allows remote attackers to obtain a user's reset instructions. IBM has not published the affected password-recovery component or the operation that exposes reset instructions to an intercepted connection. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle position and an affected configuration; the disclosed consequence is access to reset instructions, not direct password modification.
