Authenticated local file disclosure via template path traversal
Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in MagePeople Team WPEvently 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read local server files. The mep_event_template parameter reaches a PHP file-inclusion operation without restricting the supplied path to an allowed template directory. Contributor-level access is required; file disclosure is direct, while PHP execution additionally requires includable attacker-controlled content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
