CVE-2024-43113Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-origin script execution via persistent link context menu

Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Mar 24, 2025

Universal cross-site scripting in Mozilla Firefox for iOS before 129 allows remote attackers to execute script in another origin via a crafted link. A link context menu remains bound to the initiating page after navigation to a target origin, so its download action executes a JavaScript URI against the target. Exploitation requires the user to long-press the link during a timing-sensitive navigation and select the menu action, allowing script to read or alter content in the target origin.
