CVE-2024-43099

Session hijacking via captured session-key replay

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Authentication bypass in AutomationDirect H2-DM1E firmware 2.8.0 and earlier allows attackers to inject authenticated-session traffic. The application-layer session control accepts a captured session key in injected traffic instead of binding it to the originating host. Exploitation requires local-network access plus spoofing of the host IP and MAC addresses; public sources do not identify the PLC commands exposed.
