CVE-2024-43084

Local information disclosure via incomplete URI traversal

Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Information disclosure in Android Framework 12 through 15 allows local users to read data referenced by crafted notifications. Notification.visitUris inspected only selected URI fields, omitting Person URI values and URIs nested in RemoteViews collections. A local app needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction; omitted URIs can cause the framework to grant unintended read access as a confused deputy.
