CVE-2024-43064

Service interruption via SMMU global-register access

Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware allows local users to interrupt service through SMMU global-register access. The SMMU access path consumes resources when a driver, application, or SMMU client attempts to reach global registers, but Qualcomm has not disclosed the faulty operation. Exploitation requires high privileges and high-complexity local conditions; Qualcomm does not identify whether the interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.
