Stored XSS via unescaped filterMobileText option
Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in the WPXPO PostX plugin before 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted block option. The post-grid-3 renderer places filterMobileText into page markup without sufficient validation or output escaping, permitting an injected event handler. Contributor access is required to save the block, and execution occurs when another user previews or views the post; CISA separately lists Editor Blocks by Download Manager, whose release history does not align with the 4.1.0 boundary.
