CVE-2024-43044Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unrestricted fetchJar paths

Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Path traversal in Jenkins 2.470 and earlier and LTS 2.452.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read controller files. ClassLoaderProxy#fetchJar accepts agent-supplied paths without restricting retrieval to JARs referenced by core or plugin classloaders. Agent/Connect permission or code execution on an agent is required, and exposed secrets can enable access up to remote code execution.
