CVE-2024-43006Network attack vector

Session theft via stored question-content script injection

Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024

Stored XSS in ZZCMS ZZMCMS 2023 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via question content. The /user/ask_edit.php?action=add handler stores the content POST parameter without neutralizing script markup, and ask/show.php line 21 renders it on ask/show_{newsid}.html. A low-privileged account must submit the payload and a user must open the generated page, after which the script runs in that user's browser context and can read cookies or session tokens accessible to JavaScript.
