Service disruption via missing Migration permission check
Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Broken access control in Vtiger CRM 8.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disable arbitrary modules through Migration. Migration_DisableModules_Action omits checkPermission, so its inherited authorization check admits every authenticated user before disableModule processes attacker-selected module names. A low-privileged account and a valid anti-CSRF token are required, and successful exploitation interrupts the disabled CRM functions.
