Database disclosure via concatenated MailManager search term
Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
SQL injection in Vtiger CRM 8.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database records through MailManager. MailManager::lookupMailInVtiger concatenates the search term into WHERE LIKE clauses, and the Users-module branch sends the resulting SQL directly to the DBMS. Exploitation requires a valid low-privileged session and anti-CSRF token, plus a configuration with every module except Users disabled; successful requests disclose usernames and password hashes.
