Unauthenticated command execution via UEditor XML upload
Published Sep 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in MingSoft MCMS 5.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the public UEditor endpoint. The handler accepts XML at /static/plugins/ueditor/1.4.3.3/jsp/editor.do, enabling a crafted web.xml to register an uploaded file suffix for JSP execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation depends on Tomcat applying the altered deployment descriptor and serving a second uploaded file as JSP.
