Remote service interruption via unbounded page formatting
Published Aug 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda FH1206 v02.03.01.35 allows remote attackers to interrupt routing service via a crafted POST request. The frmL7ImForm handler passes the untrusted page value to sprintf while building an im.asp URL in a fixed-size stack array without a length check. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to service interruption.
