Service interruption via unbounded page formatting
Published Aug 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda FH1206 02.03.01.35 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted page value in a POST request. The fromwebExcptypemanFilter function passes the unbounded page value to sprintf while formatting it into the fixed-size v8 stack array. Remote attackers on an adjacent network need no authentication; the documented consequence is a router crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.
