Browser script execution via unescaped remarks text
Published Aug 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in /index/index.html in YznCMS 1.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a viewer's browser. The configured remarks text field stores attacker-controlled markup that /index/index.html renders without output neutralization. Low-privileged access is required to set the remarks value, and a user must view the affected page; resulting script execution can read or alter browser-accessible data.
