Administrator-browser script execution via portgw reflection
Published Aug 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Reflected XSS in Micro Focus AcuToWeb 10.5.0.7577C8b allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The index.php page reflects the portgw parameter inside a script block after escaping only double quotes and angle brackets, so a semicolon terminates the existing statement and introduces attacker-supplied JavaScript. Exploitation requires an administrator or webmaster to open a crafted URL; the script then executes in that user's AcuToWeb web context.
