CVE-2024-4284Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account lockout via writable user identifier

Published May 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Improper input validation in AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users with manager access to disable accounts. The user update path passes unrestricted request-body fields to Prisma, allowing the account id to be rewritten as 0 while token validation treats that value as suspended. Manager or administrator access is required, and exploitation makes the selected account inaccessible with no UI path to restore it.
