Stored XSS via unsanitized Product Name rendering
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Stored XSS in FastAPI Admin Pro 0.1.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts through the Product Name field. The Create Product workflow persists an unsanitized Product Name value and later renders it as HTML, allowing an image error handler to execute in a viewer's browser. Exploitation requires the payload to be saved and a user to load the stored product content; the demonstrated consequence is access to browser-held data and page actions in that user's context.
