User account modification via forged save_user request
Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Kashipara Music Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to modify user accounts via a crafted request. The /music/ajax.php?action=save_user handler processes attacker-supplied user edits from a cross-site request without a disclosed request-validation safeguard. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, after which account data can be changed with that session.
