Genre deletion via unprotected CSRF request

Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Kashipara Group Music Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete genres through a crafted web request. The delete_genre action in music/ajax.php performs a state-changing deletion without validating an anti-CSRF token for the request. A victim with a valid application session must load attacker-controlled content, and the resulting request deletes a genre available to that session.
