Authenticated command execution via unvalidated WPS setting
Published Aug 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK X5000R Firmware 9.1.0cu.2350_b20230313 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. setWiFiWpsCfg passes the unvalidated wscDisabled value to Uci_set_str, which formats it into a uci command that CsteSystem ultimately executes. Access to the router management interface and valid authentication are required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands on the appliance.
