Authenticated attachment deletion via unchecked object reference
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in G5Theme Essential Real Estate 4.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary attachments. The remove_property_attachment_ajax function passes a user-controlled attachment reference to deletion logic without verifying authority over the referenced media. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation removes media belonging to other WordPress content.
