Authenticated file disclosure via edit-file path traversal
Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025
Path traversal in Croogo CMS 4.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the file manager. The FileManager edit-file endpoint uses the attacker-controlled path parameter for a file read without confining the resolved path to the web root. Access to the authenticated file manager is required; exploitation exposes files readable by the web-server process without reported modification or service interruption.
