Snippet creation via missing CSRF validation
Published Aug 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Frog CMS 0.9.5 allows remote attackers to add snippets through an authenticated administrator's browser. The SnippetController add action accepts a POST body and saves its snippet fields without validating an anti-CSRF token or request origin. An administrator or developer must be logged in and induced to submit the attacker's form; success creates attacker-chosen CMS snippet content.
