Template overwrite via tokenless editor POST
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Pligg CMS 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to overwrite template files through an administrator's browser. The admin/admin_editor.php handler writes a POST-supplied filename and content with fopen and fwrite without validating a per-request CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, and the resulting write can alter the site's rendered pages.
