Statistics widget removal via forged admin request
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Pligg CMS 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to remove the Statistics widget through an administrator's browser. The admin_widgets.php endpoint accepts action=remove and widget=Statistics in a POST request without requiring an anti-CSRF value. The victim must be signed in to the admin panel and submit an attacker-controlled request; success changes the administrator's dashboard.
