Whitelist workflow initiation via tokenless request
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Pligg CMS 2.0.2 allows attackers to initiate a whitelist addition through an administrator's browser. The domain_management.php handler accepts an attacker-controlled whitelist_add request value and enters the whitelist workflow without validating a request-bound anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator or moderator to load attacker-controlled content; the published proof reaches the confirmation workflow, while the final write uses a separate dowhitelist request.
