Authenticated command execution via file-editor restriction bypass
Published Aug 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Code injection in SeaCMS 13.0 admin_files.php allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through crafted file edits. The administrative file editor applies a bypassable restriction to edited files and then writes attacker-controlled code to disk. Access to the authenticated file-editing function is required, and successful exploitation executes commands with the application's system privileges.
