Authenticated code execution via file-edit restriction bypass
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
Code injection in SeaCMS 13.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the player-file editor. The admin_editplayer.php handler applies file-edit restrictions that can be bypassed, allowing attacker-supplied server-side code to be written. Administrative access is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution with the web service account's privileges.
