CVE-2024-42578Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Product record modification via tokenless edit request

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024

CSRF in edit_product.php in Siamonhasan Warehouse Inventory System 2.0 allows remote attackers to modify inventory product records. The handler accepts a state-changing POST request and updates the selected product's name, quantity, prices, category, and media without validating a CSRF token or request origin. Exploitation requires a signed-in level-2 user to load attacker-controlled content; public evidence demonstrates product-record changes but does not explain the CVE record's broader privilege-escalation claim.
