Database compromise via injectable sid parameter
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
SQL injection in School Management System commit bae5aa allows remote attackers to execute SQL through sid at /search.php?action=2. The endpoint passes the attacker-controlled sid value to a database operation without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing crafted input to alter the executed query. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation permits database data to be read or changed and can interrupt the service.
